Vehicle Tracking & Fleet Management

COSEM actively offers innovating services to enable businesses to protect their (critical) assets. One of our services is the tracking of vehicles and management of (vehicular) fleet. In collaboration, COSEM can design solutions or systems to enable businesses to efficiently allocate and deploy resources whilst safeguarding the resources. An attentive “Vehicle Tracking and Fleet Management System” (VTFMS), that we believe is essential business tool to the logistic freight/transportation industry, will allow businesses to:

  • track the movement and location of vehicles anywhere on real-time basis within 24hour-7 day operating environment through the use of a tracking device (installed onto the vehicle) that is being monitored by a monitoring centre;
  • monitor, instruct and pre-empt the drivers/vehicles by the monitoring centre. For example, dedicated communication between vehicle and monitoring centre; detection of the condition of the vehicle, e.g. engine idling, vehicle speeding, engine ignition, etc.
  • manage the process of transportation of the vehicles. For example, through the tracking device, monitor the pre-set specific route and timing of transportation. In the event of a deviation from the pre-set limits, an alert will be trigger at the vehicle/monitoring centre to enable subsequent action to be initiated say the vehicle horn and hazard warning lights will be triggered to alert other road users or motorists of the threat or violation; or the activation of immobilisation of the vehicle from moving. The immobilisation of a vehicle could be developed by controlling the throttle limiters that restricts the fuel injection to prevent acceleration. This measure not allow safeguard the vehicles/asset involved but also enhances the safety and security of the larger environment if for example the vehicles are conveying dangerous materials/goods.
  • limit risks as much as possible for example human errors. A VTFMS is designed with pre-defined paramaters to minimise routine/unnecessary human intervention that may led to undesirable consequences. For example, the use of alerts to inform of non-compliance or deviation both at the vehicle and monitoring centre
