Contracted Security and Fire Warden Services

Due to the training and experience gained from their time of service with the SCDF, our clients can expect the security professionals we provide - whether retirees or former full-time national servicemen (NSFs) - to possess the necessary blend of skills and attitudes that put them in a prime position to excel in this industry.

Because of the fire-fighting and rescue background that they possess, coupled with the security training that they will receive, COSEM's security professionals can be relied upon not just to provide security coverage during peacetime, but also assist the FSM in conducting evacuation in times of emergencies. Their cross-training will enable them to respond decisively when the alarm is sounded. Where situation permits, they may even be able to step in to mitigate a risk when it is at an incipient stage, thus preventing the situation from escalating beyond control.

Decontamination of Chemical Spillages

We have a competent team of professionals who are on 24-hour standby to respond to any call for on-scene recovery services involving the spillage of hazardous substances. COSEM provides decontamination services in three primary areas - hydrocarbon spillage, the leakage of hazards like acids and alkalines, and cleanup following a chemical fire.

After we have been activated, our decontamination team will commence mitigation operations (once an incident has stabilized) to tackle and remove any substance that poses an immediate risk to people and the environment. We will then follow-up with remediation efforts (e.g. waste disposal, site clean-up and site restoration for return to normality) to reduce any residual long-term risk. Clients can trust our professionals, who are former Hazmat responders, technicians and specialists, to bring their many years of tested field experience into each project.
