Facilities
COSEM HQ
Located at 8 Sungei Kadut Street 3, COSEM HQ serves as the main nerve center for the many hands-on training courses that we offer. This premises is also the main service delivery point for our fire safety enforcement teams and our decontamination teams.
The VERTEX
Sited at 33 Ubi Avenue 3, VERTEX houses COSEM's well-established training cum service consultancy wings where our consultants can meet with prospective clients to design and develop customised system and infrastructure projects and solutions to address their everyday safety and security needs.
Who We Are
COSEM Safety & Security Services Pte Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Co-operative of SCDF Employees Ltd. It is managed and staffed by experienced ex-employees of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). Our major product categories include consultancy services in the fields of fire safety plans and policies, the establishment of civil defence systems, and training in emergency response and civil defence support functions. We also deal with the provision of safety and security equipment and products, as well as turnkey projects and technologies such as the Breathing Apparatus (BA) training cum fitness facilities and the Vehicle Tracking and Fleet Management System (VTFMS).
We serve a multitude of clients in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors and our aim is to bring fire and life safety services and products to them at an affordable cost to help build up a safer and more secure Singapore. In the course of our mission, we've also established partnerships with a host of related global companies such as Intelagard, Inc, RAE® Systems, and SICOR. Many of the these firms are major players in the manufacture and distribution of chemical, biological and radiological detectors for industries as well as government agencies dealing with security and homeland defence.
When COSEM was first established in 1 Jun 2005, we started in a small rented office in Central Fire Station along Hill Street with just 3 employees. As our business began to develop and expand, we've gradually increased our presence and today, operate from our very own headquarters cum training facility in Sungei Kadut. We've also recently acquired office space at The Vertex and have co-located all our training and consultancy services there. In addition to serving customers in Singapore, COSEM's services have taken it to countries in Central Asia and the Middle East.
